The National Comprehensive
Cancer Network (NCCN) in conjunction
with The American Cancer Society
has published treatment
guidelines for patients. These guidelines are designed to help
people with cancer make informed decisions. These patient-friendly
resources offer patients with cancer and their families reliable,
specific, and easy-to-understand information they need to help them
make timely and well-informed decisions about their treatment. To
date, there are booklets available on breast cancer, prostate cancer,
lung cancer, colon and rectal cancers, melanoma, ovarian cancer, bladder
cancer, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, cancer pain, nausea and vomiting,
fever and neutropenia, and cancer-related fatigue and anemia, distress,
and advanced cancer and palliative care.
